the laundry is done, stomach twisting, kids are bathed,stomach turning, baby C is sleeping,stomach aching, kids watching a movie, stomach ouch

Now I am going to sleep! Happy FRIDAY indeed !

Potty Song

My little girl has decided that she is not so little anymore!

I took a nap yesterday and was awakened by Emme asking to go potty.......

and she went!!!

I wanted to wait on the whole potty thing until we were settled in Seattle.....but looks like we are going to give it a go!

Now the kinda strange part........the boyz didn't do this

She is really excited.........I mean really.........we all have to come look..........even if there isn't much too see

Really truly she calls everyone to the toilet her eyes glittering look poop, Emme poop, look see

She is so cute you almost get as excited as she is, then you realize your face is way too close to the toilet for comfort!

Easter

HaPpY EaStEr

I hope this Easter everyone had time to reflect on the true meaning for the celebration.

I am feeling the weight of motherhood more and more these holidays. It is Angelo's & my charge to help these little ones understand & grow individual testimonies of Christ and the plan of salvation.

I have been blessed with a mother who knows how to inspire. I have been watching and hopefully learning how to create experiences for my children. We had our traditional passover dinner followed by the explanation of Christs fulfilment of the passover.

Chaucer and Emeline had their well child check ups 2month---2 year

Chaucer came in the healthy bordering on chunkarific 80th percentile

Emeline fell behind yet again with a big Zero, yes you read right she is no longer on the chart for weight

Doctor said " they have very different builds don't they"

yes indeed they are definitely cut from two different molds

I am loving the rolls all over my youngest,we haven't seen rolls like these in the Carvajal home since Jaxson !!!

Why is it that upon entering a roller rink you are automatically transported to the um.....the 70's

the dj's were grovin', the smoke was heavy, disco ball turning, the lights low
I kept thinking any minute John Travolta might show up in a white leisure suit

so Here we are

Jaxson took a few spills........well he spent at least half the time on the floor

"I feel as though I am stuck in between" says I to Brandy

I cannot decorate my new place in Seattle, I really don't want to bother here. I don't want to make new friends, I just want to spend lots of time with my old ones ( no pun intended)

I can see the light at the end and it is close but I am still not there!

"Sarah you are in Purgatory" is Brandy's brilliantly intuitive response

we both get a jolly laugh and I get to thinking

Yep I am in home, financial, & social Purgatory

so what to do in between Heaven and.... well you know

I have taken to decorating each room in my new home... well in my head

it started out to good

a mountain of clothes that need extra cleaning

3 onesis with yellow poop

2 pants with mud stains around the cuff

3 shirts with chocolate milk stains

after nearly 45 minutes of scrubbing, spraying, & sweating

some of the stains are gone........

but that darn yellow poop still remains

My life is so very glamorous

TraDiTion

We like many other AMerICans

are American Idol fans

Why? I really don't know , we just like music and it is really the only show on tv that the entire family can enjoy TOGETHER!

So we have created a tradition around this TV show

(I know traditions around TV, yuck)

oh well

PiZZa night is a tradition passed down from my Mom

We have now perfected it & made it organic

Little hands love to help

Pizza night is the only night when the kids get to watch TV

and we let them eat at the coffee table or on a blanket like a picnic

What a day!

bright and early 6:oo am

bags with pink tissue paper filled the table

the happy birthday song sung by all who were awake enough to carry a tune

soon tissue paper was flying

then the little voice of a child just 2

" I don't want it"

each additional present was greeted with the same sentiment

Until

the glow worm was without a doubt the favorite present of the morning

Next Birthday Dress, Shoes, Bracelet, Rain Coat

all of which the non birthday Emeline would love

Birthday Emeline put up a fight each peice of clothing was a new struggle

finally victory

and off to church where

she wouldn't be happy without parental presence in nursery, ug

Next where do you go when you really want to be spoiled???

Grandma can certainly cheer a girl up

but you really shouldn't be too happy on your Birthday
