Sunday Sunday Sunday

SUNDAY DINNER

Mediterranean pasta & spinach salad with ginger, onion, and this cool Japanese radish Eryn introduced me to

so as not to air condition the backyard

we locked the kids out while we finished the Sunday dishes

so they

made funny faces

pounded

then did a little jig with the tunes from Jaxson's unserviced cell phone

( he loves this thing, he takes pics, and listens to the ring tones)

Then we hopped on our bikes and biked around for a hour

we came home tired

Great family night!

While the boyz were away...

i invited some of the girls over to
make sushi and chat
Angelo, Jaxson, & Liam set off to the Father & Son's campout
Not to be out done in the fun department, I gathered some new friends and had my own
party!

my friend Eryn who served a mision in Japan made this great traditional summer noodle dish

YUMMMY

We all rolled up some sushi then chatted and ate for about

5 or so hours

It was a great night

even Emme got into the girl talk

until she fell asleep on the couch

I had a great time

THE BEST DANCE

i loved this dance, they said it was about a workaholic

but i really felt it was just about the struggle between work (sometimes school)and family

i know with Angelo in school the last years this has been my feeling

i think if i were to try to explain my feelings the last 5 years i couldn't do it... but here it is

this is how it feels to live without seeing your LOVE as often as you would like

I REALLY LOVE MY HUSBAND

I LOVE SPENDING TIME WITH HIM

I WOULD SPEND EVERY SECOND WITH HIM IF I COULD, WE ARE TRULY BEST FRIENDS

I MISS HIM WHEN HE IS GONE

I AM SO BLESSED THAT HE IS NOW ABLE TO BE HOME WITH ME MUCH MORE

THE LAST YEARS WERE A BIG STRUGGLE AND I TRULY SENT MY HEART WITH

MY LOVE

MANY TIMES

i AM sO gLAd ThAt i GOt to SeE ThIs dANcE

NOW YOU KNOW HOW IT HAS FELT FOR ME, BETTER THAN I COULD EVER DESCRIBE

a day at the....well you know the rest

Destination: IDYLWOOD BEACH & PARK
Redmond, Washington
beautiful beach, beautiful weather, beautiful children
I just realized Liam is growing up
I think this picture made me realize it

He is such a fun child to have around

Jaxson of course made lots of friends and helped me a ton by coming up with about a million little games for he and Liam to play

Emeline was busy making everyone around madly in love with her
one mother even said
" I bet soon we will see her on the cover of a magazine"
my thought
thanks but no, we really don't want to go the Brittney Spears route

Chaucer dug the sand
So he tried it
YUMMY
Aside from the grumpy, sun drenched, tired kids I brought home
our OUTING was a definite
Success

it is a pleasure to meet you ........now can we have

YOUR EGGS
WE visited a farm that also sells local produce
and they have it set up so you can wander around and see the chickens, peacocks, & sheep

the chickens are not limited to coops they wander all over the place

the kids loved it

then the farmers fed them while we watched
AWESOME

After all this we went into the little store
and bought eggs that had been produced by our new friends
I also got some starters for my herb garden
and some apples for .59cent a pound
YUP you read right
great big beautiful organic local apples
YUMMY
I belive we will be frequenting this little farm often ( it is just 4 miles from our home)

a walk to remember

one day

way too soon I will miss these little bouquets of flowers ( weeds) my loving children bestow on me as we walk

as is becoming tradition we went on a walk after a good size Sunday meal

and my children decided they were going to celebrate my 21st birthday

yes...21

I bet you didn't know I was that young....well now you know I had Jaxson at a very tender age

well I may be a little older than 21

but who am I to spoil the party ( even if it is 6 years too late, yikes)

SO all in all my faux 21st Birthday was delightful

I got plenty of flowers, hugs, kisses, and songs

To have children is my JOY !

mama said there'd be days like this

Yesterday we went to our ward Primary Activity

It took place on the temple grounds

It was a great experience for the kids to have

I am glad I made the effort

speaking of EFFORT

it was SUNDAY dress

which we all know means what...........IRONING

we were having a picnic afterward at a park

which means...........LUNCH PACKING

(fresh crisp clothing)

so, i was trying to get 4 kids bathed, clothes ironed, lunches packed, plus a multitude of other things ( you can imagine)

and instead of making the morning lovely and preparing my children spiritually for the event

I BLEW IT

some times even mothers make mistakes

speaking of MISTAKES

thursday morning after "the boss" had his bath I thought I would just leave him wrapped up in a towel ( w/o dipe)

while I did EMMEs hair

well that was fine until he

POOPED, yup and he kept it coming, WOOF !

( woof courtesy of nat)

here are some pics from the TEMPLE

the mood lightened considerably at the picnic

where aside from cheering me up a new pal of mine posed for the camera ( photog Jaxson)

meet e r y n

she, her hubby & their cute kids moved here about a year ago from

Manhattan, NYC

her kids ( so cute !)

then Jaxson asked me to pose for some pics

my motivation in the above

" MOM how do you look when we get up from nap"

" mom how do you look while we are sleeping"

**note from the author**
SOMETIMES EVEN MOTHERS MAKE MISTAKES
this is the moral of the post
TODAY
is the day I try again..........and maybe tomorrow...and the next day.....and the day after that

***second note from the author***

recommended reading for days like these
ERMA BOMBECK
just trust me on this
it is inevitable while reading her books that I will laugh so hard i cry

seattle saturday

We went into Seattle city center Saturday

and happened upon a round dance

the kids loved it

they talked about our great friends the Dial's who we miss terribly

then Emme tried to imitate the dancing

SHE IS TOO CUTE !

***Note from the Author***

Jaxson ripped the back of his pants at the beginning of the trip so we went looking for pants, unfortunately we weren't near shopping so we walked about 20 blocks just to find a store......which was fine and a great walk

then....Angelo remembered that he had only payed for 2 hour parking, not all day

so we RAN yes RAN two adults, 4 kids, one stroller

YIKES

It was fun though, next time we will do more by the time we got back to the car we were all worn out so instead of re parking we just headed back home

Stranded at the Drive-In

We went to the Drive-In movie on

Friday night

We had a great time

* the kids had a great time

Angelo and I.......well it was okay

The thing is our battery ran out mid way through the second feature

it turned out to be kinda good because anyone who has seen the most recent Indiana Jones probably wishes they had seen it without the sound

That movie got much better once we didn't have to listen to the ridiculous dialogue

( not my favorite movie)

The Drive-in guys came and used the little jump thing to jump our car and by 2 am we were back home, home sweet home

FUN NIGHT
**note from the author**
the kids who also went to bed at 2 am choose not to sleep in
so at 7 am we were up, yikes
