Memorial Weekend

Hazel is becoming a real person
she is so alive now. She talks and smiles all the time.
Sometimes it feels like she really understands what is going on!!
We had a fun Memorial day weekend, we played alot on the front lawn.
The boyz just love their 4-wheelers

On Monday we went to see the new Pixar movie
Over the Hedge
with my brothers, Mom, and Dad
Sunday night Andrew slept over and he and Angelo went
golfing at 7:00am Monday morning.
I am glad that Andrew is getting old enough to stay over and to golf with Angelo
He was a real help, it was nice to have him around. My kids just adore him.

Jack & the Pink Shirt

Jack our dog has a new pink shirt, he wears it all the time.
I didn't think he could look anymore like a Grandpa ( I was wrong)
Today, we went to breakfast at Golden Corral (barf) with the Smith's. We then hung out at DI where I b0ught myself a great computer monitor. It is so nice to be able to see the things I am posting.

We were supposed to be camping, or in Las Vegas both were considered for this memorial day weekend. Well, here we are hanging out at the DI ( pathetic, huh). I am trying to plan something, anything for tonight and Monday.

BBQing with the Dial's

Posted by PicasaWe set up a nice little waterpark in Brandy's backyard for the kids. It was a good time, we ate and played, then the big boyz( Angelo & Jason ) played dodgeball with the kids. I think they were a little ruff, the kids loved it anyway.

Laundry Day

I
don't think it is possible for anyone to
HATE LAUNDRY
as much as I do.Today it has finally come to the end of procrastination, I have to do it. If you think those are dirty clothesyou are 100 % wrong
I actually don't hate washing the clothes, I hate folding them & putting them away.I wish this was a picture I got off the internet or something, sadly enough these are the clean clothes ( my nemesis) that I will spend the rest of my day in the company of.
Laundry Tip ( as if you want one from me, take it or leave it)
For luminous whites add a cup fo dishwasher detergent to your hot water cycle, let cycle run awhile then turn off over night or half day. Let clothes soak as long as possible. Continue cycle, clothes will be whiter I promise.

Pizza Night

We now have a tradition,

I call it a tradition because it has happened at least 6 weeks in a row

( I use tradition lightly).

Pizza Night

Tuesday night I order a pizza and we all watch American Idol. It has been really fun for the kids. Tonight was the last American Idol ( we have been Taylor fans since auditions). So, the pizza comes and Angelo asks Jaxson "what are we doing" Jaxson yells "WATCHING AMERICAN IDOL". Should I be proud of this????? I just don't know, I love that we have something we enjoy together. Well, anyways we will soon be replacing the television with Seven Peaks water park, only 5 days till opening. I can hardley wait, Brandy and I have been counting the days for months now ( if that makes sense).

We went with Angelo to BYU today, he had to get some papers. It is fun to go to campus when it is not so busy. The kids love to walk around on campus. When we came home we spent the rest of the evening playing outside, summer is so nice for the kids. They really enjoy being able to ride bikes and play.

Think Angelo is too big for Jaxsons bike ???

Well they had fun anywayAfter we put the kids to bed we continued watching season finallys. Tonights was 24, amazing. We are totally hooked, I can't believe we have to wait until January for the next day. Tomorrow American idols season finally starts. I can't believe how hooked we get to these programs. After watching 24 I went to the gym with Brandy. I am really out of shape, I am glad I have my gym pass it is really nice to go bonus I feel great after.

We go to my parents house for dinner at least
two Sundays a month. The boyz love to play with their Uncle's, and on the big lawn. My mother always cooks a wonderful meal, which makes Angelo extremely happy.
This Sunday we went to my parents and I think it is the first time my Dad has really held Hazel for and extended period. She just loved him, she went right to sleep, it was so cute. Aren't they so cute, my Dad really has a way with babies
My mom wanted in on the baby holdingI am so glad my parents are nearby so that my children are able to have a relationship with them.

Family Fun

I love Saturdays!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Angelo is home, it always feels better when he is around. We took the kids to the car wash, washed and vacuumed the car ( the car was disgusting, no joke). The boyz had a great time, they love to help dry the car.Doesn't it look so great

After nap we went to Walmart to get Jaxson a new bike. He had outgrown his old one and had started to use the neighbor girls Dora bike. He rode his bike through the isles of Walmart nearly causing some of the older patrons to pass out he flew by them so fast.It was really enjoyable to see him so happy, and on a bike that was the right size.

I found another great accesory for Hazel Jane it is a paci holder that is beaded and cute. I love all this girl stuff it is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo FUN!!!

We spent the rest of the day watching the boyz ride bikes on the sidewalk. Jaxson on the sidewalk and trying to convice Liam he is not to ride on the street. We had a great relaxing Saturday, I really love Saturdays

G Diapers

Okay, I have the best new product since my moby wrap. They are called G diapers. They are flushable diapers, novel idea waste going down the toilet. We have been trying them and not only are they cute but really easy to use and they flush. I really love them. The covers come in red, orange, blue, and green. They are all really cute and delivered to your door!!!!The biggest bonus is that they wont be in our landfills polluting our land and water. I can really get behind this.Okay enough with the infomercial look how cute she looks in them

Book Club

Every third thursday of the month I go to book club. This months book was Tess of the D'Ubervilles. I always enjoy the discussions, but not always the books. This is the case with this book. I don't really like depressing books, it seemed to me that the characters always made the worst possible choices. I just don' t subscribe to that theory. I believe people are generally good. Oh well, it was a fun discussion. I really rely on book club and dinner at Rae's to keep me from loosing my mind. I mean that literally, sometimes I get worried that all I do and think about is kid stuff and when they grow up I won't know how to be an adult. Well anyways that is why I continue read and try to get out at least 2 times a month to talk with other women.

Sun, Flowers, & Plenty of Water

Summer is here at last, it hit 90 degrees today. We decided it was time to plant some flowers in the front yard. We had a great time, the neighbors came over and ate watermelon on the lawn while we planted. Then it was time to water. We had a great time, the neighbors came over and ate watermelon on the lawn while we planted. Then it was time to water. All the children took turns watering, then Angelo watered them.

It was so fun I really love the summer especially with the boyz, they really need to be outside. Our flowers turned out beautifully, and our children turned out soaked, everyone wins.Liam with his Gardening GlovesHazel Got to Hot for Her DressJaxson's TurnSoaking the KidsJaxson & SavannahSoaked

Happy Birthday Angelo

Today was Angelo's 28th Birthday.
I took the kids to the dollar store to pick some presents for him, this is a very funny process. Jaxson & Liam roam the isles of the store picking up anything that they think Dad may need. Jaxson ended up with around 60 items,
Liam with 1 ( large bag of chocolate).
Next comes the trades, I have to convince Jaxson that we are not spending $60 ( good luck). We trade, " do you like this more than that" this goes on for a very long time.
Finally the four of us leave the dollar store with 20 items in toe. We then took Angelo to lunch. We went to Arby's, the boys gave him their gifts.
He loved them all and responded appropriately.
After work and naps we took the boys for my Mom to watch them while
we went to dinner at Cafe Rio.
After all this we met at my Moms for cake and ice cream. Angelo then got to open the grown up gifts. Hammock with standdriver for golftravel scrabblesoccer ballchess setthe tv show dinosaurs on dvdAll in all I think it was a good Birthday for him. I can't believe it we are getting older, we are really growing up.
I am hoping that he will graduate before we are celebrating his 30th !!!!!!

Manic Mother's Day

So, our ward meets at 9:00 AM.
Needless to say we are barley on time every week.
I guess I had this dream Mother's day planned in my head
(remember 3 kids, one spouse, & church @ 9:00 AM)
I thought that I would be given ample time to maybe take a bath, do my hair, get dressed., & maybe even have breakfast ( this never happens on Sunday morning).
So what happens. I have barley enough time to get wet in the shower while being harassed by Liam, then get the boys clothes ready, etc etc etc.
We get to church ( all of us clean, this does not always happen) on time, sit down, and I realize I had NO BREAKFAST, argh.
Oh well then it hits me, Jaxson is now in Primary he is going to sing to me today.
My eyes well up with tears I am so excited.
After speaker and songs it is finally time, we look at Jaxson and say its time for you to go sing with the primary.
His response " I am not going to sing, I don't even know the songs".
Then his primary teacher tries, he proceeds to hide under the pew.
I can feel my blood boiling inside of me, I am thinking don't you love me, don't you know how long I have waited for this, don't you know that you need to do this to fullfill my needs.
Well he didn't go, then at the very end of the meeting the second counselor gives him another chance, surley he will go this time.
His response " I am not going, and I think I am not going to primary either
I would like to go home".
Well, I was not going to drag him kicking and screaming up to the podium to sing to me, but I have no issues with draging him kicking and screaming to primary. To make a long story short, he did not sing to me, but he did go to primary.
I guess you can't win them all.

After church the boyz presented me with the presents they had choosen especially for me from the dollar store:
One bar of deoderant
One package of mini kleenex
One body spray ( smelless)
One scented candle ( unscented)
One carebear lip balm
One package of antacids ( think they have had a pregnant Mom??)
One black heartshaped purse
and
Two makeup brushes
I must say these are the best Mother's Day presents in my history of being a Mother. I love how my boyz actually picked them out. I opened the presents, then Jaxson decides he would like me to try them, ALL.
I proceed to use deoderant, blow my nose, spray my body, light the candle, use the lip balm, eat a tums, carry the purse, and put on blush.
I must say it was really fun watching Jaxson, watch me enjoy his gifts. We took a great long nap ALL of us, rarley happens.
After which we went to my Mothers house and had a very nice very relaxed dinner. I don't understand why some Mothers don't like Mothers Day.
know that I am not a perfect Mother, I also know my kids & spouse aren't perfect , but put all of our inperfections together and the day is magic.
I loved all the funny stories we will treasure forever, if everything ran smooth it might be a little boring.
Well, maybe next year I will have someone sing to me.

Birthday Birthday Birthday

Today I turned 25 years old.
I don't know why this seems old to me, nevertheless it does. I had a great birthday. The boyz woke me up with birthday cake in bed. Angelo made me tea and toast, my fav breakfast. Jaxson and Liam spent the intire day saying "Happy Birthday Mom". I had lunch with Brandi & my Mother at an Indian Resturant, also my fav. Then Angelo took me to dinner at The Thai Village ( the boyz stayed with Grandma).
Angelo Wrote Happy Birthday on the bathroom mirror with shaving cream. This is a little tradition he has with me he always writes things on the mirror, love letters and such. I really love it. He is so good to me. I have begun to think these little things are better than any present I could have.
I am so blessed with an amazing family.

Grama Great

We went to visit my Grandma & Grandpa today with my Mom. My Grandparents have been sick so they hadn't seen Hazel yet. We had a great time. Jaxson showed off some of his dance moves. Jaxson and Grandpa Great ( as he calls him) played with my Grandfathers reacher thing. Jaxson would put Liams and his shoes on the floor then my Granpa would grab them with the reacher thing and hand them back to Jaxson, then they would switch ( Jaxson using the reacher and my Grandpa collection the shoes) I think they did this for at least a half and hour. I am really glad that we are able to have a relationship with my Grandparents and that they are able to know my children. It was a fun day. My Grandpa just had hip replacment surgery, and while we went to get them lunch he started to mow the front lawn. We got back just in time to finish the job, I must admit I am not the greatest lawn mower around. My Grandpa gave me some pointers and supervised, so I think it all turned out good enough. My Mother is trying to set up a mowing service so next week it will be a professional job, I am sure that will make my Grandpa happy. He takes such pride in the apperance of his yard. I love that about my Grandpa, he always has a beautifully kept yard. My children also introduced my Grandparents to a "fun" movie SKY HIGH, which my Grandpa watched a little with them. I am sure they appreciated him taking an intrest in things they like.
