Opening Ceremonies

Happy Pioneer Day
We begun this holiday weekend with a little mellow roast in the backyard think they are happy ??
Georgia put so many marshmellows in her mouth,we couldn't get her to say chubby bunny though
Liam can eat endless amounts of sweets, I think this is his third ( where is his mother...)
Liv had a great time roasting, I don't think she ate as many as she roasted

We rapped the whole night up with the kidz first ever friends sleepover

more amazing is that they all actually fell asleep

Everyone got to bed around midnight & Jaxson took it upon himself to wake everyone up at 7:00 am

Around 7:10 am Angelo and I had all 6 kids in bed with us and Brandy was still snoozing in the boyz room............she came up to retrieve her kids not to long after.

Farwell to our Canine Friend

Our poor old dog left us this afternoon, he had been sick since before the move. We had a little memorial service for him in the backyard. Jack
we will miss.........
....your funny little shirts and sweaters
....the way you thought you were a rotweiler and could protect our family
....the hours you spent letting Liam do whatever he could think of with you
....the way you fit in our family so nicley
....your bad breath
....your funny 180s when you got excited
....seeing you when we pull up to the house

We know you are better off now, you will be missed !!!!

Farewell 256

It is offical, we are moving on Saturday!! I can't help being excited, our new house is alot better for the size of family we have. I have been rather paralized the last couple of days, but now I am on a roll. I have alot packed and Angelo is taking Friday off to finish the packing with me.
It will be a good and sad move. I hate leaving a house in which we made so many memories. I am always especially sad to leave a house that I brought a baby home too. Such is the life of a student, I guess. I think this will be our last move at least until Angelo graduates.

Tomato Flower??

Jaxson planted this tomato when I put the flowers in the front .
He now refers to it as his tomato flower, cute huh. I love that he waters it and it is the first thing he wants to see when he wakes up. We are going to be sad to leave our tomato flower, maybe I will try to transplant it, we'll see.

E.T. & the Thunder

You may be asking yourself
"why would Sarah let all of her children sleep in bed with her?"

This is a great question, so now that you asked here you go
It was a normal evening, put the boyz to bed. Hazel in her basinet and settled down to watch a show. Angelo had gone to play soccer with a buddy. All of the sudden I hear shrieks from the boyz room. Open the door and Liam is crazy scared. He finally settles down enough to tell me that E.T. is in his closet, " E.T. isn't in you closet" I say. "Jaxson E.T. n the closet an he eat me" (translation if needed : Jaxson told me ET was in my closet to scare me enough to stay awake because he couldn't go to sleep and he wanted somebody to stay up with him). I took a little while but I finally convinced Liam that not only was ET not in the closet, but he had no intention of eating anyone. So, back to my show I go.
I am just settled in and enjoying some nice "me" time when to what did my weary ears did I hear. Thunder.................arg. The first round passed, everyone stayed asleep. Then the Mother of all THUNDER shakes our house, rattles our windows, and wakes all my sleeping babies. Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, the picture you see above is me with all of my scared children finally asleep ( none in their own beds of course).

WHAT A NIGHT
at least we got a cute picture out of it!!!

Happy 4th of July

Hazel got all dressed up for the fourth, so fun!!!We went to the Ridds house in our ward, this is a ward tradition. They live on the parade route , so we meet at 6:30 am at there house and everyone brings things to cook a huge breakfast. We all eat and enjoy one another until the parade starts at 9:00. We had a great time, the kids really liked the horses and loved the airplanes flying overhead.
Tonight we plan on bbqing with my fam, and watching an amazing firework display courtesy of a Highland resident who recently returned from Idaho with an amazing amount of fireworks.
My mom also said she is making churros, yummy!!!

The Jerseys

Angelo's Mom sent the kids and Angelo Costa Rican soccer jerseys They love them of course. Only one problem, I couldn't get over Hazel being dressed like that. I think I have just had too much boy stuff in my life. She wore it for the pictures, notice with a bow. Shortley after she was back in a dress ( where she belongs). Oh, well maybe one day I will get over it. Aren't they so cute!!!!!

Funny Moment/Touching Moment

This one brought to you by Jaxson A. Carvajal So, we are driving home Sunday night. We have told Jaxson we are thinking about going camping with the Smith's next weekend.
Jaxson says: "mom I don't want to go camping with Abbey"
Me: "why not"
Jaxson: "because Abbey always tells me no, thats not nice talk"
Me: "well we are going to think about it"
Jaxson: "No Abbey doesn't have nice talk, I like to talk like superman he says............"
because you cannot hear it I have to break here to tell you that Jaxsons voice now deepens, extremely
Jaxson: continued"..Hey I love you"
I have never laughed so hard. It was very very funny.

We are now home and we are trying ( not incredibley successfully to put the kids to bed)

Jaxson:" Mom, I love your face"
Me: " I love your face, too"
Jaxson: " Mom, I love your face because it is so beautiful"
Melt my heart right out of my chest, this kid is super charming!

More camping pics

I think Liam had the most fun of all, he ate so much chocolate I thought I would be sick just looking at him. He loves to be dirty and play outside, camping is definatley his thing
Jaxson really got the hang of roasting marshmellows, so cute !!!!
An aside: they now have coconut covered marshmellow available at the supermarket, they make amazing s'mores ( mostly for adults)
