I cannot decorate my new place in Seattle, I really don't want to bother here. I don't want to make new friends, I just want to spend lots of time with my old ones ( no pun intended)

I can see the light at the end and it is close but I am still not there!

we both get a jolly laugh and I get to thinking

Yep I am in home, financial, & social Purgatory

so what to do in between Heaven and.... well you know

I have taken to decorating each room in my new home... well in my head

I think I may be driving myself crazy

There were tu tu's for the girls and dolls
and crown & wand decortating

yellow poop & other stains the make me go.....hmm

it started out to good

sun shining through my windows

kids not fighting

well rested mom

then....

laundry time

a mountain of clothes that need extra cleaning

3 onesis with yellow poop

2 pants with mud stains around the cuff

3 shirts with chocolate milk stains

after nearly 45 minutes of scrubbing, spraying, & sweating

some of the stains are gone........

but that darn yellow poop still remains

My life is so very glamorous

TraDiTion

We like many other AMerICans

are American Idol fans

Why? I really don't know , we just like music and it is really the only show on tv that the entire family can enjoy TOGETHER!

So we have created a tradition around this TV show

(I know traditions around TV, yuck)

oh well

PiZZa night is a tradition passed down from my Mom

We have now perfected it & made it organic

Little hands love to help

Pizza night is the only night when the kids get to watch TV

and we let them eat at the coffee table or on a blanket like a picnic

Note from the Author: I named this post and couldn't stop singing TRADITION you know the song from fiddler on the roof, I bet it will be running through my head the rest of the DAY!

What a day!

bright and early 6:oo am

bags with pink tissue paper filled the table

the happy birthday song sung by all who were awake enough to carry a tune

soon tissue paper was flying

then the little voice of a child just 2

" I don't want it"

each additional present was greeted with the same sentiment

Until

the glow worm was without a doubt the favorite present of the morning

Next Birthday Dress, Shoes, Bracelet, Rain Coat

all of which the non birthday Emeline would love

Birthday Emeline put up a fight each peice of clothing was a new struggle

finally victory

and off to church where

she wouldn't be happy without parental presence in nursery, ug

Next where do you go when you really want to be spoiled???

GRANDMA'S

Grandma can certainly cheer a girl up

but you really shouldn't be too happy on your Birthday

Our breakfast conversation took a turn when Jaxson got cream cheese on his shirt and stood on the chair convulsing like Chandler , if you loved the show Friends you know what I am talking about

Okay, I think I may listen to NPR too often

come on Democrats I know you want the latino vote but you may have only succeded in capturing a few older latinos while alienating all the rest

We have a resident latino in our home and he does not listen to music that sounds anything like that!

Inspiration

this morning i was cleaning my floors NPR on the radio

I found myself sitting in the middle of a half clean floor listening to this amazing story.

"We are a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization dedicated to educating, empowering, and loving impoverished African orphans. Our mission started with two green-eyed brothers, Patrick and Ryan Hansen, who were determined to make a difference. Ryan lives in Africa to ensure that all funding is used properly. Patrick runs the "business" side of things in the USA. Neither brothers receive a salary for what they do. 100 percent of donations go straight to those who suffer. "

I was struck when Ryan said some nights he finds himself vomiting in the corner because he is so worried about these children. This man is my same age, what an amazing use of a life. They provide the money for these children to go to private school and health education so as to prevent them contracting aids among many other things.

I think I used to be fun

Maybe I am wrong, but I really believe I used to be a fun person. I remember being invited to parties because I WAS FUN to be around. What has happened??

Lisa, Amber, Brandy did I used to be fun??

I feel as though I spend my entire day over tired, cleaning, and correcting children. I guess what I am saying is I am going to work on being a fun person to be around this year!

This is my goal if you have any suggestions feel free to enlighten me. Please remember I have 4 children and I need suggestions that will be possible, not make me feel less fun because I cannot accomplish them.

A Prophet for our Times

I have been wanting to post something about our beloved prophets passing

Ever night since his passing I have heard tributes to this amazing man on our local news stations (great thing about living in Utah).

My reaction to the news of his passing was really strangley happy. I am so happy for him to be home with heavenly father and especially his dear wife. It is times like these that I really start to think about eternal marriage and what a joy and comfort it really is. I have only been married to Angelo for 7 years and I cannot imagine my life without him. Our dear prophet did so much to further the kingdom on earth and I am relieved for him to be able to be reunited with his eternal companion and free from all the pains of these mortal bodies as they grow older.

I have heard it said many times this week what a wonderful man he was, and I would like to add my sentiments to this
